Frank was born in rural Arkansas but was raised in the Chicago area. Frank's dad was a great early musical influence with a passion for Jazz and the Big Band sounds of the 40's. His dad could play a thousand songs using three chords. Frank remembers his folks having parties where they would listen to records and the latest thing "FM Radio". Frank's first guitar was a Sears Craftsman and he discovered at an early age that he could sing. Playing guitar opened up the world of music for him. He played his first professional gig at age 12 and has been entertaining for over 40 years. He's still at it as founder and "Front Man" of the Flying Gypsies and "loves singing for people". Married for 23 years to a great gal Debra, Frank ha s two grown children, Frank Jr. and Carrie Ann. Frank Jr. is due to retire from the Air Force in eight years and Carrie is a Bookkeeper in Ft. Lauderdale expecting her first child. This will be Frank and Deb's second grandbaby. |

Frank has been in Gainesville for 15 years and has spent the last ten years as a professional pilot. He operates Kitty Hawke Aviation at the Flying Ten airport (0J8) in Archer, Florida. He has been a licensed pilot for 30 years with over 6000 hrs of flight time logged and 300+ skydives with an expert license. Musical Influences include: His Dad, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, The Dorsey Brothers, The Beatles, and a host of others too numerous to mention.
